VIGNETO GIARDINO…WHY “ASCIUTTO”??

“As with the 2015 vintage, the Vigneto Giardino has the word ASCIUTTO on the label instead of DRY, which is permitted by European law. Legally, both words have the same meaning, asciutto being the Italian word for dry (English) and sec (French).
Nothing has changed in the wine production, in its taste profile (except normal vintage specific character), provenance, labels layout or colors.

The word asciutto in Italian (pronounced “aʃˈʃutto”) refers to anything you eat or drink that leaves your palate both clean & dry. Asciutto therefore refers to something that has a perfect balance between all components of the taste (saltiness, sweetness, fattiness, acidity, etc), pleasing all parts of the palate and leaving a clearly dry sensation.” E.V.

VINO IN VILLA FESTIVAL 12-15 MAY 2016

Vino in Villa is the most important annual event devoted to the wine of Conegliano Valdobbiadene.

It  springs from the Consortium’s desire to show the wine in its original context to journalists, members of the trade and consumers alike.

From Thursday to Saturday, everyone will be offered the opportunity to listen to some of the most significant voices in the contemporary artistic and cultural spheres, in extraordinary settings: those of the hills and historic centres of Conegliano, Valdobbiadene and Pieve di Soligo.

The event will culminate on Sunday, in the splendid Castle of San Salvatore at Susegana, a country manor dating back to the 12th century, which will play host to the producers of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore in a special day devoted to tasting their wines.
